First Web
Getting Started!
If you’re anythinglike me, you’ll be all fired up and will totally get lost and confused before the first project is anywhere near complete.
The best thing to do is have a little look around first. I decided I wanted a web site. I’ve got about ten now but nothing on most of them. Wrong!
Before you get your first web site you should have an idea of your interests. I’m just about to become a grandmother so I’m really interested in baby stuff. I set up a site based on baby stuff. http://www.newgranny.info
It’s still in the beginning stages but I’ve got an idea or two of what I want to do with it.
One big tip-*Blogging*.
The easiest form of web site for a beginner is the blog. You don’t need to know much to get a blog looking good.
If you know what you’re interested in, you can pick a name for your domain. That’s what people type into the title bar when they want to see your site. Make it something easy to remember. If you want to make money from your site you should probably go for a .com name. It’s easier to remember. If you’re just having fun and don’t want to pay much you can get a great deal at godaddy on .info
